Beijing Arts Summer School
The Beijing Arts Summer School offers students a unique opportunity to travel to one of China’s most exciting cities and create work as a response to their experience. The course combines an introduction to Beijing’s cultural history alongside an exploration of the contemporary Art and Design scene.
The website, design and branding by Greg Tilley, was built to improve the identity and user experience for a network of affiliated schools that Free Range Education run across the developing world. Second Variety were brought in by Greg and Sarah to provide the WordPress expertise. The theming was done using a responsive framework, Whiteboard in this case, and use the excellent Gravity Forms extension.
Its also showcases our latest plugin for WordPress – Galleriapress. Using Aino’s Galleria.js plugin we have begun to create a media management plugin that is for images but will be extended to include video and audio and re-uses all of WordPress’s built in gallery features but gives user a much better media management interface using Custom Post Types and a drag and drop interface. When it hits version 1.0 we’ll release the plugin into the wild.
