Intelligence Shared
Good conversation, intelligent argument and fierce debate – the key ingredients of Intelligence Squared – can now be savoured à la table, in a new debate and dining club concept, Intelligence Shared.
Every few months, in the private rooms of London restaurants, a dinner for 40 members is held to discuss the controversial issues of the day.
After the first course two invited speakers – experts on the given subjects – will kick off the debate, one proposing, the other opposing, and then hand over the proceedings to the members of Intelligence Shared for the rest of the evening.
Excellent food, fine wine, exhilarating conversation – and a site produced for the task of browsing the different events and making reservations directly online.
Using Wordpress and the extremely flexible Shopp plugin we were able to create a very simple and easy to use site that is almost fully automated leaving the staff at Intelligence Shared free to compose responses to members, come up with theme and ideas for new dinner events and generally not worry about to much other than making sure members enjoy this new dining experience.
Security is taken care of by Thawte SSL and transactions are handled by HSBC.
Garvin Hirt of Flok, the designer of Intelligence Squared, customised the design a pre-existing Wordpress theme and we implemented all the code: back-end and front-end functionality.
