Scumble Goosie
Scumble Goosie have been designing exquisite Gustavian furniture for over twenty years. The team there felt that it was about time for a website overhaul to reflect developments in the company and to allow customers to shop online.
We decided that the simplest and best solution for this website would be to use Wordpress as an e-Commerce platform. We achieved this result using the WP eCommerce plugin and extending its features to add specialised fields, for example to allow for customising furniture. The decision to use RBS Worldpay to process the payments ensures swift and safe transactions with advanced features to handle deposits on ordered furniture.
Founder Jon Madeley likes to stick to designing the furniture so we designed him a site that will handle and automate many of the back office processes at SG. Customers who once had only a static brochure site to browse can now also buy any piece of handmade furniture from the catalogue (and request bespoke features as part of the process) and have it delivered directly within 2-6 weeks.
Second Variety will continue to provide support for the Scumble Goosie team in the online market place.
